The HOPERF classic RF transceiver chip, CMT2300A, has been integrated into the WittBoy Wireless Personal Weather Station, a product from the domestic original weather brand Ecowitt. This is one of the standout IoT applications showcasing the capabilities of the CMT series, a line of independently developed Chinese RF chips.
WittBoy 7in1 weather station
WittBoy Wireless Personal Weather Station is a compact and solar-powered device. It boasts an all-in-one design with seven built-in sensors, including ultrasonic wind speed and direction sensors, a touch-sensitive rain gauge, a temperature and humidity sensor, and a UV detector. These sensors allow the device to capture real-time data on wind speed, rainfall, sunlight, temperature, and humidity, monitoring microclimate conditions accurately. It operates outdoors in all weather conditions and wirelessly connects to an indoor HUB receiver or LCD screen, with a transmission range exceeding 150 meters. Additionally, all data can be accessed via the internet or a mobile app, and shared globally with other devices. An optional snow-melting heater can be added to prevent snow accumulation, enhancing functionality. WittBoy stands out for its easy installation, accurate data collection, convenience, and virtually zero maintenance, making it an excellent choice for home weather monitoring.
Recently, WittBoy was launched on the world’s largest crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter, where it successfully met its funding target on the first day of the campaign. You can find the project link or search for "WittBoy" on Kickstarter's homepage:
